S.I. No. 582/2025 - Finance (Provision of Access to Cash Infrastructure) Act 2025 (Section 10) Order 2025

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 9th December, 2025.

I, SIMON HARRIS, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (5) of section 10 of the Finance (Provision of Access to Cash Infrastructure) Act 2025 (No. 4 of 2025), and having consulted with the Central Bank of Ireland and taken account of the matters specified in the said subsection (5), hereby make the following order:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Finance (Provision of Access to Cash Infrastructure) Act 2025 (Section 10) Order 2025.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on 28 November 2025.

2. In this Order, “Act of 2025” means the Finance (Provision of Access to Cash Infrastructure) Act 2025 (No. 4 of 2025).

3. The amount of 6 per cent of the total number of current accounts in the State of a credit institution is prescribed for the purposes of paragraph (a) of section 10(5) of the Act of 2025.

4. The amount of 7.5 per cent of the total value of household deposits of a credit institution is prescribed for the purposes of paragraph (b) of section 10(5) of the Act of 2025.
